A 20-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by her brothers for making TikTok videos in Pakistan's Jhelum region.
According to police sources, the incident took place in Jhelum’s Dhoke Korian, when neighbours had objected to the victim’s video-making, which led to a confrontation within the family, reported ARY News.
The brothers allegedly opened fire on their sister which killed her on the spot.
The accused reportedly tried to stage the incident as a suicide.
They allegedly tried to erase the evidence from the crime spot.
In another incident, a Pakistani father allegedly killed his daughter in the name of honour for making TikTok videos in the South Asian country's Quetta city, media reports said.
Police said during the investigation they found the 15-year-old Pakistani-American dual-national girl was shot dead by her father and maternal uncle.
Hira’s father was enraged over his daughter’s lifestyle and social media presence, particularly her TikTok videos, reported ARY News.
According to reports, she refused to obey her father's order of not making TikTok videos.
