PLAY International is looking for an Operations Project Manager.

He is scheduled to take up his position in September 2024.

Duty station: Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, France (metro 4 - Porte de Clignancourt, metro 13 or 14 – Saint-Ouen Town Hall)

PLAY International is a French NGO founded in 1999 on a conviction: sport is a source of solutions to meet our societal challenges. The main mission of PLAY International is to design and implement education and inclusion projects for children and young people in vulnerable situations, using sports games as an educational tool. The NGO works in particular on issues such as access to and retention in school, gender equality, community reconciliation, health prevention – eating well – moving well – sleeping well – using screens well , the change in outlook on disability... Since its creation, PLAY International has implemented educational and humanitarian projects in France and internationally in more than 20 countries for the benefit of nearly 1 million children. Today, the association relies on 6 missions in Burundi, the Comoros, France, Kosovo, Rwanda and Senegal. PLAY International is a member of the SOS Group.

Responsibilities and missions

1. Strategy & development

• Analysis of structuring financing mechanisms and their allocation (SME Funds,
• UN Agencies, World Bank, etc.)
• Conducts contextual research and produces summary notes to support the revision of the
• NGO's international operational strategy as well as the development of new projects
• (including new countries, new invested sectors, etc.)
• Participates in the drafting of project proposals, including structuring tools such as the logical framework, timeline/retroplanning, budget, in conjunction with colleagues from the division, headquarters and missions
• /partners
• Actively monitors financing opportunities for each region of intervention and
• participates in the coordination of financial development at headquarters level
• Support the identification of operational partners

2. Implementation & monitoring of programs

• Follows and contributes to guaranteeing the application of monitoring and evaluation protocols: performs statistical analysis of intervention program data
• Participates in the drafting of intermediate or final narrative activity reports for
• donors
• Support the methodological tools of missions in the implementation of the project cycle
• Organizes the feedback of information from the field and the drafting of project communication materials with a view to their dissemination (internal/external)
• Support for mission logistics, including obtaining administrative documents related to the registration of the NGO abroad, or the registration of new human resources on missions.

3. Coordination and pole life

• Contributes to the animation of communities of practice (between partners, between missions)
• Supports the organization of collective times (highlights/seminars, working groups, etc.)

The missions described in this sheet are not exhaustive. They can therefore evolve depending on the external and internal context. Cooperation work with the work-study student will be put in place on the common files of the operations center.

Skills and experiences

• Strong interest in the associative, sport and international development sectors
• Knowledge of the project cycle
• Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesize
• Mastery of the office pack (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Very good level of English (written, spoken)

Training

Level of initial training required: Bac + 4 minimum in international development, project management, sports management or other relevant university course.

Terms

• Starting position: September 2024
• Apprenticeship contract
• Salary: according to the scale of the collective agreement for training organizations
