Jerusalem: A female Israeli soldier was released from the Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip, the army said Monday.
The development came following an operation in the Hamas-run Palestinian territory.
"Last night, soldier Ori Megidish was released during a ground operation after being kidnapped by Hamas on October 7," the army said in a statement as reported in the media.
"The soldier was medically checked, is doing well, and has met with her family," it said.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a photograph of Megidish in which she is seen surrounded by her family members.
Earlier, the Israeli troops in Gaza recovered the body of a German woman, who was kidnapped by Hamas members on October 7.
Shani Louk, 23, was reportedly kidnapped when she was attending the Supernova music festival close to the Gaza border.
The festival was one of the targets of the Hamas members on October 7.
According to reports, the German national was paraded naked in a pick-up truck after she was captured.
