Kabul: Gunmen killed a prosecutor in Paktia Province of Afghanistan on Thursday, media reports said on Friday.
The slain person was identified as Mohammad Hassanyar.
Paktia governor Halim Fedaee said the attack happened by “terrorists” in the prosecutor’s home village in the city of Gardez, reports Tolo News.
Hassanyar worked as a prosecutor for an appellate court in the Attorney General's Office in Paktia province, the news portal reported.
An investigation into the incident has started.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
