Kabul: At least two security force members were killed and six others, including a civilian, were injured in four separate blasts in Afghanistan's Kabul on Saturday morning.
The blasts took place in various parts of the national capital.
According to reports by local news outlet Tolo News, quoting police, the first blast took place around 7:02 a.m. on in the Chaman-e-Hozoori area in Kabul’s PD8.
Fortunately, the improvised explosive device (IED) blast did not kill or injure anyone.
The second blast took place three minutes later in the west of Kabul. "...a magnetic IED blast targeted a vehicle carrying a senior official from the VIP protection unit, police said," the Tolo News report read.
"According to police, two police force members were wounded in the blast," the report added.
Deh Sabz area in the east of Kabul witnessed the third blast.
"Police said it was a roadside bomb blast that targeted a police vehicle in which three security force members were wounded," the report said.
The fourth blast took place in Deh Bori area in the west of Kabul around 9:05 am, which also targeted a police vehicle.
"Police added that two police force members were killed and a civilian was wounded in the blast," the report added.
