Directed by senior theatre personality Rohit Pombra, he and his team enacted Dahl’s Taste, The Colonel’s Coat and Lamb to the Slaughter with each play lasting an approximate 20 minutes.
It opened with Taste, a funny short story about a wine connoisseur and his wager to win the hand of his host’s daughter. The crew put up a solid performance and enthralled the audience.
The team just got better with progressive performance. Their second, The Colonel’s Coat had the director playing the character of Mr. Bixby along with one of the senior cast members Krishna Roy as Mrs. Bixby. They had the audience in splits with perfect comedy timings and the right dosage of drama.
Nandini Banerjee put up a stellar performance as Mary Maloney, the wife who murdered her husband and successfully ditched the murder weapon in an unsuspecting way in the third and last production, Lamb to the Slaughter.
Pombra said, “I would like to thank everyone for being here. Hope, you have liked this presentation from Stagecraft. These are excellent stories.”
“I hope to do some more stories from the same writer,” he said revealing his future plans.
