GlobalGiving is looking for a Manager, Corporate Grant Programs to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a multimillion-dollar portfolio of grant programs and serving as a trusted internal and external advisor on awarding charitable funds to both domestic and overseas entities. The successful candidate will be an experienced grants and program manager, an adept relationship manager, and supervisory experience.

Primary Responsibilities

The Manager, Corporate Grant Programs is a key member of the Grants Team that works closely with other Program and Growth Team colleagues to design and execute corporate grant programs in collaboration with companies, private foundations, and donor-advised funds. The Manager serves as an internal and external consultant and advisor on program design, system requirements, and approaches to community-led philanthropy anchored in trust-based principles. In addition, the Manager indirectly supervises and coaches grants staff throughout program implementation.

• Portfolio Management: Oversee a multimillion-dollar portfolio of global grant programs of varying size and complexity. In close coordination and partnership with the managers of corporate partnerships, build and manage GlobalGiving’s relationship with corporate funding partners. Advance GlobalGiving’s trusted advisory role in the philanthropic sector with demonstrated expertise in program design and management and philanthropic best practices. Balance qualitative, human realities with a data-informed approach to program planning and management.
• Grants Expertise: Leverage your mastery of grantmaking, the grants management lifecycle, and relevant regulatory guidelines to inform “” collaborations with fellow colleagues, corporate partners, and grantees alike.
• Coaching, Facilitation & Advisory: Provide direct supervision of junior staff assigned to support program execution. Lean into strong interpersonal skills to deliver coaching and actionable feedback to support staff learning and growth. Facilitate inclusive and effective meetings and design and deliver compelling training and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Lead on Equitable Grantmaking Practices: Improve and develop grantmaking policies, procedures and workflows that advance equity in our work. Facilitate grantee access to the GlobalGiving community and its other offerings. Identify and contribute to opportunities for improved knowledge management. Stay abreast of philanthropic sector trends, standards, and regulatory developments.

Requirements

For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:

• 6+ years of program and grants management-related experience
• Successful track record in collaborative program design and management
• Demonstrated professional supervisory experience and ability to effectively delegate, monitor, and develop full-time professional staff.
• Strong relationship-building and management skills
• The ability to leverage dashboards and data analysis to inform your work
• The ability to communicate ideas effectively (orally and in writing), to listen to others' ideas, and to collaborate to arrive at great solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience coaching and guiding the success of others; ability to discern and handle sensitive matters with discretion, confidentiality, and tact.
• The ability to lead meetings and deliver presentations and training to a variety of audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills; an understanding of and ability to talk about compliance and risk management, and mitigation concerns with diverse audiences.
• Experience with cross-cultural communications and a culturally sensitive orientation.
• Attention to detail, integrity, and judgment - the ability to make well-informed decisions despite ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:

• Experience in an international grantmaking organization
• Demonstrated success in CSR, business or client support and management
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of United States IRS guidelines for public charity or private foundation charitable giving highly preferred
• Experience with intermediary organizations and grantmaking
• Experience with Fluxx Grant Management System
• Familiarity with trust-based philanthropic approaches and practices
• Foreign language proficiency
• Experience with Google Suite applications, Metabase and/or Canva

Starting salary range: $72,500 to $82,500.

Location

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Grant Programs. GlobalGiving is a hybrid workplace. Candidates are welcome to work from GlobalGiving’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., remotely or some combination thereof. If you intend to apply as a remote worker, be prepared to speak about your experience with remote employment in the recruitment process. In addition, be advised that remote workers will be expected to align most working hours with US/Eastern time.
