Acer has also unveiled Project DualPlay Mini, a concept device designed to function both as a high-performance gaming handheld and a mobile productivity machine, blurring the traditional boundaries between gaming and work devices.

Both products were showcased at Acer's next@acer global press conference in Berlin, Germany.

Predator Atlas 7

Designed for gamers seeking a more compact and portable Predator experience, the Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and up to Intel Arc B390 graphics, delivering high-performance gaming in a handheld form factor.

With an Xbox Game Pass subscription, users can access hundreds of games out of the box, while the device runs Windows 11 and supports the broader Windows gaming ecosystem.

To maintain performance during extended gaming sessions, the Predator Atlas 7 features a dual-fan cooling system. Its primary cooling fan is a precision-engineered Predator AeroBlade metal fan with 89 blades, each just 0.1mm thick. Acer says the fan can deliver up to a 10% increase in airflow.

A secondary plastic fan works alongside the AeroBlade fan, while Vortex Flow tuning uses angled internal channels to direct hot air away from the chassis more efficiently during sustained workloads.

The handheld is equipped with a battery of up to 80Wh, allowing for longer gaming sessions while on the move.

Ergonomic Design and Controls

The Predator Atlas 7 has been designed around portability and comfort, featuring contoured grips, an enlarged palm-rest area, recessed keys and an anti-slip texture for improved handling during extended gaming sessions.

The joysticks are available with a Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) option, which is designed to provide greater precision and improved anti-drift performance with zero dead zones.

The device also features Hall-effect analog triggers, offering greater range and pressure sensitivity for games that benefit from more precise control.

A built-in fingerprint reader integrated into the power button enables quick and secure Windows Hello authentication.

7-Inch 120Hz Display

The Predator Atlas 7 features a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 500 nits peak brightness, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC surface treatment, which is designed to improve scratch resistance and reduce glare. Acer will also include a tempered-glass screen protector.

The touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch, allowing users to interact with the device through responsive touch controls.

Connectivity and Gaming Features

The handheld includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-bandwidth docking, external displays and accessories. An UHS-II microSD card slot provides an option for expanding storage.

Wireless connectivity includes Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The PredatorSense application provides access to system monitoring, performance modes, RGB lighting customisation and gaming settings, which can be adjusted using a dedicated button.

For audio, the device features dual 2W speakers with DTS Ultra, while dual microphones with Acer PurifiedVoice use AI-assisted noise reduction to improve voice clarity during gaming and online communication.

Project DualPlay Mini

Acer has also showcased Project DualPlay Mini, an 8-inch conceptual Predator device designed to combine gaming and productivity in a single portable machine.

The concept offers two gaming configurations. A built-in backlit physical keyboard enables a mini-laptop-style setup suited to first-person shooter games, while a handheld configuration provides a more traditional console-style gaming experience for other genres.

Beyond gaming, the device can function as a mobile productivity machine and connect to an external display, allowing users to work on the go without carrying a separate computer.

The concept features a flip-and-swivel design that allows it to transform between handheld and mini-laptop modes.

To mark Acer's 50th anniversary, the back cover incorporates the words “Acer 50 since 1976” in Morse code, combining the company's milestone with the Predator brand's design identity.

Project DualPlay Mini is powered by Intel and uses a dual-fan cooling system similar to that of the Predator Atlas 8. The setup combines a Predator AeroBlade metal fan with a plastic fan, with the concept featuring thinner blades on the metal fan.

With Project DualPlay Mini, Acer is exploring a new category of devices that combines gaming and productivity, potentially offering users greater flexibility from a single portable machine.

Availability

The Predator Atlas 7 is scheduled to be available in North America from Q4 2026 and in EMEA from November 2026.

The previously announced Predator Atlas 8, first unveiled at Computex 2026, is scheduled to launch in North America and EMEA from September 2026.

Project DualPlay Mini is a concept device and is not currently a commercial product.
