Lahore: At least three people died as a blast hit Lahore's Johar Town area in Pakistan, close to "global terrorist" Hafiz Saeed's residence, media reports said on Wednesday.
The blast took place at 11:05 am near Johar Town -Akbar Chowk which falls at Lahore, Punjab in Pakistan.
The blast left 17 people injured.
Confirming the casualties, CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar told Geo News the investigations were underway into the incident and a team of bomb disposal squad is currently on the crime scene.
"The BDS would share the details about the nature of explosion," the official told the news channel.
Rescue, police, and bomb disposal teams reached the spot after the blast.
The injured people were rushed to Lahore's Jinnah Hospital.
An eyewitness told Geo News that an unidentified individual parked a motorcycle near the house which later exploded.
Police cordoned off the area after the blast.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
