Chittagong: The suspect, who allegedly tried to hijack a Bangladesh Biman flight on Sunday, has been neutralised, as per officials.
As per The Daily Star report, Maj Gen Motiur Rahman, general commanding officer of Chattogram, confirmed the casualty at Shah Amanat International airport this evening.

“We didn’t have the chance to negotiate. Our commandos had to act swiftly. He was initially injured and later died,” he was quoted as saying by the Bangladesh based newspaper.
“The attacker, about 25 years of age, took an attacking position. There was no other way out,” he said, “Bangladesh Navy tried to negotiate with him.”
As per media reports, the suspect was identified as Mahadi.

He was reportedly carrying a pistol and wanted to talk to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
No casualty, apart from the suspect, has been reported in the incident.
There were 148 people onboard.
The flight was on its way from Dhaka to Dubai via Chittagong.
