Kabul, Nov 9 (JEN): A local tribal leader was killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan's Balkh province earlier on Thursday morning, local Khaama Press reported.
The incident was confirmed by provincial police commander Sher Jan Durani, who said it took place in Mazar-e-Sharif city, the provincial capital.
Sources said that the bomber detonated his explosive near the leader, managing to kill himself and the leader while injuring three of his guards.
No group has claimed the attack so far.
