Kabul, Aug 21 (JEN): The Afghan criminal investigation department (CID) officials have foiled an explosion plan by militants in the national capital, local Khaama Press reported.
The agency quoted CID officials as saying that a large improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered under a culvert and diffused by the experts before the militants managed to detonate it.
No group has claimed responsibility thus far.
Roadside attacks are a frequent activity in Afghanistan, as militants mainly target government and security officials by using these.
