Kabul: Quoting sources, local media in Afghanistan said on Monday that a district in Logar has fallen to the Taliban.
The Taliban took control over Charkh district following a clash with security forces on Sunday night.
Though the number of possible casualties is not yet known, Tolo News quoted a source as saying that the forces made a "tactical retreat" from the district.
"The Taliban claims to have captured the center of Charkh district, including the police headquarters and the district governor's compound," the Tolo News report said.
