Washington DC: As the United States of America awaits the result of the recently concluded presidential polls- to determine their next president- Democrat candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden has said he is winning the race.
Biden, who has managed a sizable lead against his Republican counterpart and incumbent US President Donald Trump, tweeted, "The numbers tell us a clear and convincing story: We're going to win this race."

In a series of tweets he praised Americans for voting for his party as he promised to 'undo the damage' done by the incumbent government.
"What is becoming clearer each hour is that record numbers of Americans — from all races, faiths, regions — chose change over more of the same. They have given us a mandate for action on COVID and the economy and climate change and systemic racism," another of Biden's tweets read.
Biden also sounded confident of winning Georgia, a Republican faithful for years.
"We are going to be the first Democrats to win Arizona in 24 years. We are going to be the first Democrats to win Georgia in 28 years. And we re-built the Blue Wall in the middle of the country that crumbled just four years ago," the former Vice President said.

We are going to be the first Democrats to win Georgia in 28 years.
And we re-built the Blue Wall in the middle of the country that crumbled just four years ago.
Georgia carries 16 electoral votes and is considered one of the swing states of the season despite its consistent record of voting for the Republicans.
The Democrats hopes for flipping Georgia for the first time since 1992 are bolstered by recent years of tightening elections.
In 2016 Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by 211,000 votes, five percentage points, a narrowest margin in the last five campaigns. It was followed by a neck-in-neck gubernatorial race of 2018.
Trump relies on non-college white voters and men, while Biden performs with women and black constituencies.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has warned Biden against making a winning speech.
The incumbent president has moved court, citing electoral fraud.
"Joe Biden should not wrongfully claim the office of the President. I could make that claim also. Legal proceedings are just now beginning!" his tweet read.

"I had such a big lead in all of these states late into election night, only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days went by. Perhaps these leads will return as our legal proceedings move forward!" Trump said.
Biden, however, has urged the citizens to remain calm and believe in the process.
"I know tensions can be high after a tough election like we just had. But we need to remain calm. Patient. And let the process work out as we count all the votes," Biden tweeted
"We have to remember the purpose of our politics isn’t totally unrelenting warfare," he said.
"We may be opponents — but we are not enemies. We are Americans," Biden's tweet read.

We are Americans.
Earlier, Donald Trump's eldest SOn, Don Jr questioned Biden's capacity as he tweeted, "Does anyone really believe that Joe Biden shattered Obama’s historic 2008 numbers? Does anyone really believe that he did that mostly in big cities? C’mon man!!!"
Don Jr. and his brother Eric had also come down hard on Republicans as Donald Trump's chances of a second term looked more and more unrealistic.
According to some reports, Biden is poised to become the next US President and leads Trump 264-214 in the 270 mark majority.
