Islamabad: At least five people were killed and two others injured in a blast in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The incident took place in Akbarpura area of Nowshera, according to local media reports.
The blast took place in a market situated along the Kabul River, local Dawn News District Police Officer (DPO) Najamal Hassan.
"Some people were collecting scrap material from the stones alongside the river. Some of the scrap included explosive material which detonated when they were weighing it," he said.
The officer said cops are investigating the incident.
The injured people have been admitted to the hospital.
