Kabul: At least 17 militants affiliated with the Islamic State in Afghanistan were gunned down in a drone strike, an official statement released by 201 Selam Military Corps said on Thursday.
The raid was conducted in Nangarhar province on Afghanistan.
According to the statement, foreign troops targeted terrorist safe havens in De Bala district of Nangarhar on Wednesday.
The ISIS, locally known as Daesh, hasn't commented on the report.
