Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 26 more patients have been admitted to the hospital with dengue fever. Among them, 21 were admitted to hospitals in the capital and five to divisional hospitals.
The information was given in a press release signed by Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Kibria, Assistant Director, Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room and Health Information Unit (MIS) of the Health Department.
A total of 1,155 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital from January to November 29 this year.
Of these, 1,062 dengue patients have returned home after receiving treatment.
Monthly statistics from January 1 to date this year show that 199 people were infected in January, 45 in February, 27 in March, 25 in April, 10 in May, 20 in June, 23 in July, 68 in August, 47 in September, 163 in October and 528 in November have been admitted to hospital.
Of the total dengue patients, 3 have been confirmed dead. One died in August and two in October.
