Biodiversity 100 whales wash up at beach in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin

Tuticorin, Jan 12 (JEN) Around 100 whales are stranded on a beach in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu since last night, media reports said.
Fishermen and officials dragged many of the beached small fin whales back into the sea but they keep returning to the shores near Manapadu back into the sea but they keep returning to the shores near Manapadu and Kallamozhi villages, NDTV reports quoted officials as saying.
In August, the carcass of a 33-feet-long whale washed up on a beach near a village in Nagapattinam district.
