Biodiversity Rhino poached in Kaziranga

Guwahati, Mar 4 (JEN) : Poachers killed another one horned rhinoceros in Assam's Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Wednesday and managed to flee with its horn, officials said.
Assam has lost eight rhinos which were poached alone seven in Kaziranga in this year so far.
According to reports, the incident took place at Chanak area under Burhapahar forest range office inside the National Park where poachers killed a male rhino and chopped off its horn.
Forest guards found the dehorned bullet injuries carcass inside the park.
Assam forest minister Atuwa Munda had instructed to forest officials and the KNP authorities to take stern measures to curb poaching incident in the world heritage site.
