Iran's military has fired at least two missiles at commercial vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, according to U.S. media reports.
Axios, citing two U.S. officials, reported that both vessels sustained significant damage, although no casualties were recorded.
Separately, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a tanker travelling southbound was struck on its port side by an unidentified projectile, triggering a fire.
"No casualties or environmental impact reported," UKMTO said in a statement.

"Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO," the statement added.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying Washington would either reach a deal with Tehran or "finish the job."
"We're going to make a deal or we're going to finish the job. And it won't be tough to finish the job," Trump told reporters.
"I'd rather make a deal because I don't want to affect 91 million people. We can knock down their bridges in one hour. We can knock out their energy supply," he added.
