Kabul: Unknown gunmen have shot dead the commander of the provincial police Criminal Investigation Department in Afghanistan's Kapisa province, media reports said.
The slain official is known as Mustaqim Khan.
Shayeq Shoresh, a spokesman for Kapisa police HQ told Khaama Press that the incident happened on Friday in the Qala-e-Sayed Khan area of PD1 in Mahmud-Raqi city, the capital of Kapisa province.
Gunmen sprayed the police intelligence chief with bullets as he was returning to his home after Friday prayers, the news agency reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
