Kabul: An explosion hit northern Parwan area of Afganistan and killed at least 12 children killed or wounded on Saturday, media reports said.
Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, told Khaama Press an improvised explosive device went off at around 4:20 pm local time on Saturday in Shah Mast Qalandar Village.
Rahimi further added that the explosion killed a child and wounded at least 11 others.
Rahimi blamed the Taliban group for planting the device.
The Taliban did not comment on the issue.
