Kabul: The Afghan and U.S. forces conducted airstrikes in different parts of Ghazni province of Afghanistan and killed at least 16 Taliban terrorists, media reports said on Sunday.
According to media reports, the deceased included two Pakistani suicide bombers.
The Governor’s Office of Ghazni said in a statement that the Afghan and U.S. forces conducted the airstrikes in Khogyani, Khwaja Omari and Qarabagh districts, Khaama Press reported.
The statement further added that the first airstrike killed 12 Taliban militants including two Pakistani suicide bombers in Deh Mullah Village of Khogyani district. The security forces conducted the raid on Saturday evening, reported the Afghanistan based news agency.
Officials told the news agency that the airstrikes did not inflict casualties on local residents.
