Kathmandu, Apr 22 (JEN) At least 16 Indian nationals were killed as the bus in which they were travelling fell off the road in Nepal's Dhading district on Wednesday, media reports said.
According to reports, 39 others were injured in the mishap.
"The bus with Indian number plate fell some 200 meters down the road while negotiating a sharp bend along the downhill section of Prithivi Highway at Jhyaprekhola in Dhading district at around 6:40 this morning," ekantipur.com reported.
As many as 45 passengers were reportedly returning to Gorakhpur city in Uttar Pradesh after a pilgrimage to Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal when the mishap occurred.
The injured people were undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
A team of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations.
