Pakistani police have arrested former cricketer leg-spinner Abdul Qadir's son Sulaman Qadir, for allegedly sexually assaulting the housemaid at his farmhouse.
Based on the complaint of the housemaid, the Barki Police registered the case against the suspect on January 23.
The complainant told police that the suspect picked her up in his car from the main gate of a housing society and drove her to his farmhouse, Dawn News reported.
The suspect reportedly forced him on her after taking the victim in his farmhouse.
Police have reportedly taken the suspect in custody and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A senior police official, on condition of anonymity, confirmed the arrest to Dawn News, saying medical examinations of both the suspect and the complainant were being conducted as a part of the investigation.
Sulaman Qadir played first class cricket for Pakistan. His father was one of the most popular leg spinners to represent the national side.
