A massive explosion rocked a chemical factory in China's Gaomi city, spewing a thick cloud of grey and orange smoke in the sky, media reports said.
The explosion left windows of several buildings located nearby damaged.
The chemical plant primarily produces pesticides, with chlorfenapyr technical as a key product.

While chlorantraniliprole has low toxicity, its synthesis intermediates, such as pyridine and aniline compounds, are mostly carcinogenic and potentially neurotoxic.

Authorities were forced to conducted the rescue operation after the incident happened.
The blast occurred at approximately 11:57 am at the workshop of Shandong Youdao Chemical, reported China Daily Asia.
Local fire and rescue services have sent 55 vehicles and 232 personnel to the workshop site.
The cause of the explosion is still not known.
No casualties have been reported so far.
A staff member working at a hotel located close to the explosion site, told CNN: "The sound was quite loud with a bang. It only lasted for a moment."
She said the hotel did not suffer any damage.
