Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, who is known for making headlines due to unconventional reasons apart from his business ventures, has planned to bring all his 11 children and their mothers under one roof.
According to reports, the tech billionaire has acquired a 14,400-square-foot mansion and another six-bedroom property adjacent to it worth USD 35 million dollars in Austin, Texas to keep the family together.
Musk told people close to him in recent months that he envisions his children (of which there are at least 11) and two of their three mothers occupying adjoining properties. That way, his younger children could be a part of one another’s lives, and Musk could schedule time among them, reported The New York Times.
Directly behind the villa is a six-bedroom mansion that Mr. Musk helped purchase, according to two of the people and public records. The total cost of both properties was about $35 million. When in Austin, he often stays at a third mansion about a 10-minute walk away, the people told the newspaper.
According to reports, Musk has fathered 12 children since 2002.
If media reports are to be believed, his first child with former wife Justine Musk died of sudden infant death syndrome when the baby was 10 weeks old.
The couple invited five children in 2005 via IVF before they decided to part ways.
Musk had a relationship with British actress Talulah Riley. He married and divorced the actress twice but they did not have a child.
He welcomed three more children with Claire Boucher between 2020 to 2022.
Musk reportedly welcomed twins with Shivon Zillis in 2021.
They welcomed their third child this year.
