At least one person died after two masked men attacked an Italian church in Turkey's Sarıyer district on Sunday (January 28, 2024), Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said.
The attack reportedly took place when a religious ceremony was underway.
Yerlikaya wrote on X that two masked gunmen attacked the church at around 11.40 local time.
"A large-scale investigation into the issue and efforts to catch the attackers have been initiated," he posted on X.
