Kabul: Clashes with the Taliban militants killed an army commander in Afghanistan's Uruzgan province, local media reports said on Monday.
The slain soldier has been identified as Zabihullah Ghayur.
The clashes took place in Tarin Kot, the provincial capital.
Reports quoting sources said the clashes took place during the reconstruction of a security post.
The said post had been destroyed a few days ago in a blast.
Meanwhile, the Taliban is yet to comment on the clashes.
