Dhaka: The death toll in the deadly novel coronavirus in Bangladesh has reached 7,452 after 24 people died within 24 hours between Saturday and Sunday, according to an official press release.
Among the deceased were 16 males and eight females.
While 23 people died at the hospital, one died at the home.
According to the Department of Health, 13,005 samples were collected and 12,650 samples were tested in 163 laboratories in the aforementioned 24 hours.
The total number of sample tests stood at 31,71,910.
At this time, another 1,049 new cases of coronavirus have been identified.
The total number of identified patients in the country stood at 5,09,148 people.
In the last 24 hours, 1,473 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in different hospitals and homes of the country including the capital.
So far, a total of 4,51,961 patients have recovered.
