Kabul: At least 37 Taliban insurgents were either killed or wounded in Afghanistan's Uruzgan province on Tuesday.
The report was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence.
According to the Ministry, 15 insurgents were killed and nine others were wounded in Dehrawood district by ANA soldiers.
In another raid, eight Taliban members were killed and five others were wounded in Trinkot district.
The soldiers also destroyed large amounts of weapons and ammunition during the raids.
"37 Taliban were killed and wounded in Uruzgan prov. yesterday. 15 Taliban were killed and 9 others were wounded in Dehrawood district and 8 TB were killed and 5 others were wounded in Trinkot district. Additionally, a large amount of their weapons and ammunitions were destroyed," the MoD tweet read.
