Kabul: At least six people were injured after gunmen entered the Kabul University and opened fire on Monday.
The incident forced students to flee the campus, as visuals from the facility showed students, mostly males, scaling a wall to evade the hostile situation.
According to reports, security forces rushed to the university and engaged with the militants in an effort to curb the terror.
The identity of the attackers are yet to be known.
Meanwhile, the Taliban has denied its involvement.
Condemning the incident, NATO Senior Civilian Representative Stefano Pontecorvo said, "I strongly condemn today’s tragic attack on Kabul University. This is the second attack on educational institutions in Kabul in 10 days. Afghan children & youth need to feel safe going to school. #NATO stands firmly behind all efforts to stop violence."
Through some sources stated loss of lives, it is yet to be declared officially.
