Dhaka: At least 17 people died after a trawler carrying 48 capsized in Bangladesh's Netrokona district on Wednesday.
The mishap took place in a haor in Madan upazila.
Madan Upazila Nirbahi Officer Bulbul Ahmed confirmed the news to Dhaka Tribune and said 48 people were travelling in the trawler when the incident took place.
While 30 people were rescued safely, one still remained missing.
The passengers were to board a cruise.
