Kabul: Law enforcement officials in Afghanistan's Kabul city diffused a bomb and prevented another blast from rocking the capital, said reports.
Local news outlets quoted Kabul Police Headquarters as saying that the remote-controlled explosive was captured during an operation in Fazel Beg area, located in the fifth district of the national capital.
The bomb was kept on a roadside, officials informed.
Fortunately, police seized the explosive before the attack could have been carried out by militants, thus saving the lives of locals.
The bomb was defused by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Afghan National Police, officials said.
