Beijing: Putting speculations to rest, China has confirmed the detention of missing Interpol chief, Meng Hongwei.
Beijing said in a statement that it has arrested the global body security head on grounds of breaching Chinese laws.
Hongwei went missing on Sept 25, after travelling to China from France.

The Interpol will hold a vote to elect its next head in a meeting in November in Dubai.
