Hanoi: Vietnam's President Tran Dai Quang has died, aged 61.
The leader passed away on Friday in a military hospital, state media reported.
Quang was suffering from illness and received treatment both in Vietnam and abroad.
He assumed the chair of the President in 2016.
Prior to that, Quang served as the head of the public security ministry.
