Rubbishing the results, the Democratic Union Roundtable coalition has demanded a complete audit.
Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Maduro has hailed the results as a victory for chavismo.
He reportedly said, ""Chavismo' is alive, in the street, and triumphant."
The country is presently undergoing an economic crisis.
It has also reported a food shortage amid ongoing clashes between pro and anti incumbency faithfuls.
The US had earlier this year placed a sanction on Venezuela, which prompted the country's President to question: "Who do these imperialists in the United States think they are?"
