Purple Patch BTS member Jimin tests COVID-19 positive

Seoul: South Korean band BTS member Jimin has tested COVID-19 positive.
He also underwent surgery for appendicitis.
"Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on Jan. 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for thorough examination, and also took a PCR test," the statement from BIGHIT Music said as quoted by CNN.
"Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, and was tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, Jan. 31," it added.
