Arleen Sorkin, who is the original voice of the iconic comic character Harley Quinn in the DC Universe, has died.
She was 67.
DC co-head James Gunn shared the news of her death on Instagram and wrote: "Rest in Peace, Arleen Sorkin, the incredibly talented original voice of Harley Quinn, who helped to create the character so many of us love. Love to her family and friends."
The cause of her death is not known so far.

Actor Mark Hamill condoled her death and wrote on X: "Devastated to learn we've lost the brilliant Arleen Sorkin. Not just a wonderful talent, but a truly wonderful person. I'm grateful not only to have worked with her, but to have been her friend. Sending my heartfelt condolences to her family & loved ones."
Sorkin is known for portraying Calliope Jones on the NBC daytime serial Days of Our Lives and for serving as the real-life inspiration and voice for DC Comics villain Harley Quinn, co-created by her friend Paul Dini on Batman: The Animated Series.
