Stockholm:While talking about sex and sexuality is still a taboo in many countries, Sweden will host the world’s first sex championship this month. Come June 8 and participants will compete to win the European Sex Championship.
The event will be hosted by the Swedish Sex Federation.
A click on their website is showing a message that reads: "The European Championship in Sex , organized by the Swedish Sex Federation, will begin on June 8, 2023."
The federation said it will cover all costs of the contestants.
According to reports, the event might take place for several weeks.
Each participant will need to compete for six hours daily.
Interestingly, Sweden was the first nation to recognize sex as a sports.
One netizen Paul Kikos tweeted: "The first European Sex Championship will be held in Sweden in a year."
"Sweden was the first to register sex as a sport and decided to host a tournament. It will take place in Gothenburg on 8 June 2023. 20 representatives from different European countries will take part. The championship will last several weeks, and the competition will be daily for 6 hours," he tweeted.
The event will be live telecast on a website, according to the website of Swedish Sex Federation.
SSF was founded in 2016 in Sweden and is the only organization in the world that practices sex as a sport.
