An attacker opened fire outside an Ahmadi community’s worship place in Chenab Nagar in Pakistan on Friday, leaving six security guards injured on Friday.
Two policemen, who were present close to the worship place, retaliated and killed him.
CCTV footage showed a suspect carrying a pistol approach the worship place, Baitul Mehdi, in Rabwah and open fire on the security guards, who were volunteers from the community, reported Dawn News.
The injured guards were able to close the main gate of the worship place.
The injured guards were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The condition of four of them is said to be critical.
Police have shifted the body of the attacker to the morgue.
Chiniot DPO Abdullah Ahmad told Dawn that the worship place had been attacked by a gunman, resulting in injuries to six private security guards.
The Ahmadi community members have condemned the attack.
