Islamabad: Pakistani Border Forces recently abandoned check posts in Pakistan's Balochistan region amid protests by locals in Brabchah area of the city, media reports said.
Thousands of protestors pelted stones at Pakistani Security Forces forcing them to retreat and abandon their border posts, reports The Balochistan Post.
During the violent protest, agitators destroyed and torched military buildings.
The protests occurred at a time when the nation witnessed massive surge in COVID-19 cases.
