Turkey on Wednesday launched a nationwide inspection of the precautionary measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, in a bid to stem its spread. Traffic police stopped public transport vehicles at several checkpoints in Istanbul to monitor whether drivers were following the social distancing rules, including wearing a mask and obeying hygiene measures.
