A 12-year-old boy was killed and two others were injured after a mortar shell exploded close to the Pakistan-Iran border on Monday.
The mortar shell, fired from an unknown location, landed and exploded in the Gomazai area of Tump as the three children were returning home from a seminary, security officials told Dawn News.
The child who died in the incident was identified as Muhammad.
He suffered multiple injuries due to the explosion and died after he was taken to the hospital.
The other two injured children were identified as Abdullah and Muhammad Fazil.
Security forces have launched a probe to identify the place from where the shell was fired.
