At least one soldier died and eight others were injured in an attack on security forces in Gwadar district of Pakistan on Sunday, media reports said.
According to officials, an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted to target a convoy of security forces at a bridge linking Gwadar with Turbat, reports Dawn News.
The IED was detonated with remote control when two vehicles of security forces were crossing the bridge, badly damaging one of the vehicles.
The injured security personnel were shifted to Indus Hospital, officials at the facility told Dawn News, adding that one of the injured, identified as Lance Naik Allah Ditta, succumbed to his injuries as he received multiple wounds.
