Bogota: At least 10 people were killed as a bridge collapse close to Bogota area in Colombia on Monday, media reports said on Tuesday.
The collapsed bridge is called Chirajara bridge.
According to reports, the under construction bridge was not operational at the time of the mishap.
"The victims are construction workers who were working on the project's drainage," the Colombian Civil Defense said in a statement as reported by CNN.
"We are still working to verify the total number of people who were working at the time," read the statement further.
A search and rescue mission is currently going on in the area.
