Four Pakistani government employees were kidnapped at gunpoint from Kulachi tehsil of DI Khan district, media reports said on Thursday.
Local residents told The Express Tribune that in Kulachi, a school teacher named Ameer Khan suddenly passed away.
After his burial, his three sons, identified as Muhammad Asif, Khalid Khan, and Fahad Nawaz, were present at the mosque where family and friends gathered for condolence, the residents told the newspaper.
According to reports, eight to ten people arrived at the scene and kidnapped them after inspecting the men present in the room.
Police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
Locals said that the kidnapped brothers worked for the Cantonment Board and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD).
The incident triggered widespread panic among residents.
