Several industries across the globe, including banks, airlines, telecommunications companies, TV and radio broadcasters, and supermarkets, were hit after users reported a blue screen of death error screens on Windows platforms on Friday.
Users on the subreddit for cyber security firm Crowdstrike reported issues in India, the United States and New Zealand, reported The Guardian.
Crowdstrike said blue screens of death have been observed in multiple locations across the globe and the cause is being investigated.
The company has said the issue is related to its Falcon Sensor product, and engineering teams are working to resolve the issue, according to a support notice as quoted by The Guardian.
USA
Flight service of several major operations, including Delta, United and American Airlines, remained grounded due to communication issues.
The ground stop impacts all flights from the airlines, regardless of their destination, said the Federal Aviation Administration as quoted by CNN.
It is still not clear how long the ground stop will last.
Berlin
Airport and fight operations were hit in other parts of the globe including Japan, Amsterdam, Berlin, among others.
Berlin Airport posted on X: "Passenger notice: Due to a technical problem, there may be delays in check-in."
"Information for passengers: Due to a technical fault, there will be delays in check-in," the airport said.
Spain
The Spanish airport operators said operations are currently going on in the manual system.
"We are working to solve it as soon as possible. Meanwhile, operations are continuing with manual systems," the Spanish airport operator was quoted as saying by BBC.
UK
In the UK, major train operators are facing disruptions due to the technical faults,
The London Stock Exchange said it is operating normally but there are problems with its RNS (regulatory news service).
"RNS news service is currently experiencing a third party global technical issue, preventing news from being published on www.londonstockexchange.com," the statement says as quoted by BBC.
"Technical teams are working to restore the service. Other services across the group, including London Stock Exchange, continue to operate as normal."
Australia
Melbourne Airport said it is facing a global technological issue.

New Zealand
The Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand said: " Christchurch Airport is experiencing IT issues across a number of our systems which may effect flight arrivals and departures. This includes flight information on our website. Please check with your airline before travelling to the airport."
India
In India, almost all major airlines, including Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, are facing technical issues which are affecting booking and other online services.

Private airlines major IndiGO said its system has been impacted due to Microsoft outage.

Blue Screen errors (also sometimes called black screen errors or STOP code errors) can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly, reported Microsoft website.
