The opposition Labour Party is ahead in the UK general polls with the counting of votes currently underway on Friday.
The exit polls predicted Indian-origin British PM Rishi Sunak suffering a defeat in the polls.
A Labour Party victory will mean Keir Starmer becoming the Prime Minister of the country.
Latest figures showed the Labour Party is ahead in 164 seats while the Conservatives (Tories), led by PM Rishi Sunak, is leading in 27.
The majority figure needed by a party to form a government is 326.
As per exit poll predictions, Labour would win 410 seats in the 650-seat parliament.
On the contrary, the Conservatives (Tories) are expected to bag only 131 seats, one of the worst shows by the political outfit in several years.
The Conservatives have been ruling the nation for the past 14 years.
