Beijing: At least 17 people were killed and 22 others sustained injuries early on Sunday morning, following a severe road accident in Nanchang County, east China's Jiangxi Province, media reports said.
The accident occurred on Sunday in Nanchang County, CGTN said.
China Central Television (CCTV) said on Sunday that the cause of the accident, which happened just before 1:00 am local time was under thorough investigation.
Heavy fog was reported in Nanchang County around the time of the accident.
